“Tamaki. My dearest Tamaki, why are you so beautiful?”

His lips lifted up into a smirk.

“I’m hoping to catch your eye, even for just one second.”

The girl to his right clapped her hands together, blushing at his response.

“And why is your voice so sweet and mellow?”

He tilted his hand up to bring the dragon-shaped pipe that rested in it to his lips.

“To set your nerves at ease and so my true feeling may reach your heart.”

The image of your head popping up came into view and the girls’ attention went to you as you rested your elbows on the table, placed your chin over your fists and looked at him.

“And oh, Tamaki, why is it that your ego is as big as your fanbase?”

Flipping his ponytail (extensions) over his shoulder, he had his eyes closed as he turned his head and leaned down to your face.

“It’s my way of expressing charm to get attention from the opposite sex.”

As soon as he realized what he said, his eyes snapped open to meet your smug grin.

“Good to know.”

His jaw fell open and you held in a laugh as you stood up from the table and rested a hand on his shoulder.

“Y/N, I was just kidding–”

“Oh, come on, it’s just a little harmless teasing, Tamaki.”

You pouted your lips as you ruffled your hair.

“Aw, he’s all flustered. That is adorable.”

He let out a shriek and tried to push your hand away.

“Hey, don’t mess up my hair!”

You couldn’t help but giggle at him, then returned to a professional stance and placed your hands behind your back as you addressed the girls sitting at the table.

“I’m very sorry to interrupt your time booked. While I’m here, would any of you like an order of today’s special, strawberry bouquet tart with a heartwarming love message topping it from one of the host club members?”

The two girls sitting instantly lit up at the description, though you were pretty sure it was because of the love message.

“Ooh, that sounds heavenly!”

“Yes, I’ll have one order!”

You bowed your head and turned away, but when you passed by a table wear the twins and their own customers were sitting, Kaoru rose his hand to you.

“Oh, Y/N~”

You paused mid-step and turned on your heel to them.

“What do you need, Kaoru?”

He rested his head on his palm as he turned his sight on you.

“Sis, could you be a doll and bring me a pitcher of water?”

‘Probably to cool off these thirsty girls.’

“Sure, I’ll be right back.”

In under a minute you brought the dessert to Tamaki’s table while ignoring the kiss he blew to you afterward and returned to the twins’ table with the pitcher of water.

“Thank you butterfly, just leave it here, will you?”

Letting out a small sigh, you did as Hikaru asked, but before you could leave, one of the girls at the table addressed you.

“Um, pardon my curiosity, but Y/N, why are you the only member not wearing a Kimono?”

Her question actually through you off guard and you instinctively glanced around at all the hosts, then down at your attire and reminded yourself that you were dressed normally while everyone else wore a kimono.“

"Well, you see, because I have to prepare food along with delivering it to tables, trying to walk around in that would become a nuisance very easily and would limit me from moving around.”

She nodded her head in understanding.

“Right, that makes perfect sense!”

You smiled politely.

“Yeah…”

“Y/N-Chan, Y/N-chan!”

Hearing the distressed calling of your name, you spun around to be met with Honey treading over to you, dragging the long kimono he wore, behind him and only wearing one sandal, but you focused on the fact that he was crying his eyes out.

You instantly dropped to your knees and opened your arms to him.

“Honey, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?”

He sniffled as he rubbed his eye with his right sleeve.

“I don’t know how but I lost one of my sandals.”

You smiled at him and wiped his tears away.

“How? You just had them both on, didn’t you?”

Your head went up when a dark shadow fell over the both of you.

“Mitsukuni”

You scooted over a bit when Mori knelt down beside you and grabbed a hold of Honey’s foot, who was staring at him in awe.

“Takashi…”

It took you a few seconds of watching almost every girl in the room turning their attention on Honey and Mori’s interaction for you to realize that they were most likely purposely putting this on. You huffed and stood while Mori put Honey’s shoe back on his foot and they continued on.

Letting out a sigh, you leaned with your back against an empty table, your elbows resting on the edge of it.

“You’re not getting tired, are you?”

Your head went to the side and you noticed Kyoya beside you, writing with an ink quill pen on a large rolled up piece of paper.

You forced a smile.

“Of course not. Ready to go, boss.”

You caught the faint sound of him chuckling.

“Relax, you’re doing fine. Keep up the good work and you should be able to pay off your debt.”

'Really, all ready?’

Your smile became present on your face until Kyoya spoke again.

“However, all the costumes you wear are nothing to sneeze at and you’re lucky enough that we ran out of kimonos for you to wear this time.”

Your eyebrow twitched at that thought.

“Hehe, yep, lucky me.”

'What is up with him? He’s like some heartless tax collector…he can’t be like this all the time, right?’

You rubbed your chin at your own question and turned around to gaze up at him.

“Hey, Kyoya.”

“Hm?”

You narrowed your eyes and studied his face for any expressions that could appear.

“Why don’t you ever smile?”

He instantly stopped whatever he was writing and turned his head to looked down at you.

“I don’t know what you mean, I smile all the time, Y/N.”

You straightened up off the table and placed your hands on your hips as you continued to examine him.

“No, that is only when you are trying to keep our guests happy. I mean a genuine smile or even a laugh that isn’t from amusement but…oh! I got it!”

You might have made the mistake of moving his rolled up paper away from him and poking his chest.

“You are never showing any signs of happiness.”

He looked back at his paper.

“If that’s what you think. Shouldn’t you be going back to work now?”

You smugly smiled.

“Whatever you say, boss.”

And it was at that moment you noticed Tamaki and Haruhi looking out toward the doorway. The twins even stopped what they were doing to see what they were looking at.

Furrowing your eyebrows, you also turned your attention to the doorway. There was a girl hiding behind the wall, watching everyone inside the room and you tilted your head in curiosity because her face looked very familiar to you.

In a few seconds, you gasped and put a hand to your mouth in realization.

'I’ve seen her picture before…that’s Mr. Houshakuji’s daughter!’

“Oh no.”
